Steve Janett is Back in Verona

Verona, NJ (January 27, 2012) – If you’ve been in or around Verona during the last 58 years, you probably recognize the “Janett” name as one of Verona’s most enduring and respected members of the business community. Now, Prudential New Jersey Properties is proud to announce that Steve Janett is home again, managing the company’s West Essex Regional Office at 538 Bloomfield Avenue.

Back in 2006, Prudential Janett Real Estate merged with Prudential New Jersey Properties, the state’s largest Prudential Real Estate Affiliate. Steve Janett landed on a new ownership team and in a senior management role, overseeing the activities of the company’s regional offices in the north. He was later named chief operating officer to focus his attention on the company’s day-to-day operations. As the result of a recent restructure, he is now blending those duties with a management post back in Verona.

“Our office is here to support the greater West Essex area and our communities in every way possible, just like we have since 1954 when my mother and father founded our real estate firm,” said Janett. “It is a privilege for me to be back and working with so many talented and dedicated real estate professionals who partner with the communities to make this area a wonderful place to live. All of us look forward to great things ahead in 2012 for the West Essex Regional Office and the buyers and sellers we serve.”

Partnering with and giving back to the community is a passion of the West Essex Regional Office. Back in September, the office hosted a “Shred-It” event to benefit The Sunshine Kids, a national non-profit dedicated to kids with cancer, and the foundation of choice for Prudential New Jersey Properties’ fundraising efforts. Area residents were invited to bring documents and publications of all kinds to shred in an industrial shredder, and in turn were asked to make a small donation to The Kids. The office ranked at number two last year for raising the most money among 19 offices companywide, an effort that helped to bring the company’s total donations for 2011 to $65,000.

In October, the West Essex team hosted a Pumpkin Patch event for everyone in the community. Pumpkins, face painting and candy filled the office with Halloween fun for visitors of all ages. Many other community events are planned for 2012 to serve the entire West Essex community.
