Professional Interests

Here at Prudential, we have a charitable organization that we raise funds for. The group is called the Sunshine Kids. There are children who suffer from life threatening ailments like cancer, Leukemia, etc. Sunshine Kids, as an organization, tries to bring some "Sunshine" into these children's lives, through various ways. In my office, I have contributed to, helped organize and headed up several fund-raising events for this very worthy cause.

My Hometown

I moved to South Plainfield over two decades ago, and I have enjoyed living here, raising my children here, and involving myself in may community activities. Before I moved to South Plainfield, I lived in Edison, and Piscataway, both neighboring towns. I now find myself also patronizing many vendors and restaurants in Plainfield. Plainfield has many beautiful Historic homes, many of them Victorians and Georgians.

Energy,enthusiasm, care and creativity are the tools I use in everything I do. I will assuredly give you all of the time and attention you need in whatever we do together. South Plainfield Music Boosters

My daughter was involved in the South Plainfield Music program for ten years. She has played Violin in the Riley Elementary school Orchestra, then the Grant Central School Orchestra, then the Middle school Orchestra, and now the High School Orchestra. She also sings in the High School Chorus. Throughout the years of my involvement with the music program, I have met many other parents with very talented children. South Plainfield High School also offers a Marching Band, a Concert Band, a Jazz Band, a Color Guard and a Winter Guard all as part of the High School Music program.

Personal Background

Middlesex County, NJ is a great place to live. So many times magazines have articles not unlike "Top 50 Places to live in America". Middlesex county or some of the towns within it often make this "short list". I have lived in 3 towns in Middlesex County. I have lived for the past 20 years in South Plainfield. I obviously agree!

Professional Background

After College, I went to Culinary School. Working as a Chef was very rewarding because it allowed me to be creative. I loved working in that very fast paced environment, being on my feet for sometimes twelve hour shifts or more. After I had my children I realized I had to channel that creativity into a new career. I went into sales and worked for a fine foods broker. That was when I realized that Sales requires just as much creativity and stamina! Being in Real Estate is tremendously rewarding. Nothing beats seeing that look on your clients' faces when they realize they have just found their new home. My stamina and my creativity have allowed me to help my clients in ways unmatched by others.

Sometimes it takes a village, sometimes just one brave soul.

Involving myself in my community has been very rewarding for me. When I was in college, I joined several organizations on campus and contributed to them in many ways. I was a writer and editor for a Brooklyn College Campus publication. I was an officer in an academic club and I was on the planning board for the Brooklyn College Ski trip one year. After I had my children I found new ways to be involved in my community. I learned how to make a Pine Wood Derby car when my son joined the Cub Scouts. I often accompanied his class on class trips in elementary school. I was a Girl Scout Leader for a few years with my daughter. As they got older, I reached a bit further, and became more involved in local politics. I helped plan and host Candidate debates in South Plainfield. I have served as an Election Challenger, and I have planned and run many South Plainfield based fund raising events.

Personal Interests

When I was a a little kid, I used to watch Julia Child on PBS. There wasn't a Food Network yet. Her show was the first of its kind. I think Julia Child is still my hero! She was a self-taught Gourmet French Chef. French food is so delicious when it's done right. I think I owe my love of cooking to Julia. Working in restaurants, in catering, and as a fine foods broker were some of the ways I have used my energy, creativity, care and strength. I have found that working as a Real Estate Agent has allowed me to do just the same. Channeling my energy, creativity, care and strength into my real estate career has been very fulfilling. Working with people who are making life changing decisions takes lots of care. I give my all in what I do for my clients.

Education

I grew up in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, where I attended both St. Saviour Grammar school and St. Saviour High School. My high school was a very small and competititve high school.

For my first semester of college, I went to City College, in upper Manhattan. After that first semester, I realized how difficult the commute was. So I decided to transfer. After that, I went to Brooklyn College, which is also part of the CUNY College system.

After College I went on to New York Restaurant school, and got certification in Culinary arts and Restaurant Management.
