OK- so the tax credit expired! And you missed it! So now what? Keep looking to buy a home!
There are some favorable things related to the fact that the tax credit expired!
1) NO MORE PRESSURE to buy now!!! 
SO many buyers were hearing the clock tick and feeling the pressures of "Don't miss the TAX CREDIT! Buy now!" You can now slow down and THINK about what it is that you are looking for! Purchasing your first home, or any home, is one of the largest decisions you will make! You shouldn't be rushed and now you aren't!
2) The frenzy is over! Ok- so people kept telling you the market is bad and it's a buyer's market! So why is it that everytime I turned around the homes in the Verona NJ area that were priced correctly, were receiving MULTIPLE OFFERS!
Yes- you heard me- multiple offers.Like a big tug-o-war game! Who would win? It wasn't uncommon a month ago to have a nice starter home in Verona, priced about $400,000-500,000 have 4-5 or even 6 offers! Now THAT'S pressure! So now that you don't have to worry about the tax credit expiring, you don't have to feel the need to jump into a multiple bid situation!
Seller's now have an incentive to make their property a special property. Some seller's are offering their own $8,000 tax credit! Many are telling buyers that they will reduce their list price by $8,000 if their home is selected! Not a bad incentive!
